Great Things Happening At The Franklin Unit!

Focusing on Academic Success

We’ve caught the literacy bug!  Amiee Richardson, our new tutorial and academic enrichment LIteracyCorps member has hit the ground running in Louisburg! It is our goal to create a positive, after school learning experience by providing access to academic resources and enrichments to tutor our members who need additional support. We are so excited to use partnerships with community members to provide these volunteer tutors who will have a positive impact on tomorrow’s leaders who are attending our club right now!

A Scary Good Time on Halloween

An incredible partnership has been formed between the Boys & Girls Club and the Louisburg College Women’s Basketball team! On October 31st the entire basketball team came to the club to volunteer their time to serve our members! A Halloween party that included music, dancing, 9 different activity stations, cupcake decorating, and a haunted classroom was enjoyed by all! Some great relationships were formed between the caring adults who took the time to get to know our members and we are so very thankful! We have been invited to attend one of their basketball games this season and cannot wait to fill 100 seats in their gym to cheer on The Hurricanes!!
